- ➤ The Akron/Summit Convention and Visitors Bureau launched the 10th annual Summit Brew Path on Jan. 3 to mark a decade of craft beer with 18 breweries and cash prizes. - ➤ The University of Akron will host its first Rubber City Rumble on Jan. 10 at the Jean Hower Taber Student Union at 303 Carroll St. Over 70 middle and high school robotics teams will compete in a VEX Robotics Competition organized by student-led Akron Roobotics to spark interest in engineering.
