- ➤ Today, the Akron Art Museum opens a special exhibition called 'Transfiguration: Rachel Libeskind and the Tiffany Window' featuring a restored Tiffany stained glass window rescued from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (354 E. Market St.), which suffered fire damage in 2018. The plan for the adjoining sanctuary remains undecided. Akron Beacon Journal

- ➤ An Ohio State University Center survey finds 87% of Ohioans trust public universities for quality education while only 40% see teaching as politically neutral. - ➤ Akron Public Schools is moving forward with three major projects. A groundbreaking for the new Pfeiffer Miller South school is scheduled for 11 a.m. Mar. 19 at the former Kenmore High site, while North High's replacement & Buchtel stadium upgrades will finish in 2029 and mid-August. - ➤ Arctic cold is causing ice dams on roofs across Northeast Ohio, and a cold advisory is in effect in Summit County with wind chills at 15° below zero. - ➤ Record cold (wind chills as low as -21 degrees) has kept a Cold Weather Advisory in effect today, delaying Medina County's annual Polar Bear Jump into Chippewa Lake. Warming centers in Greater Akron have extended hours, and forecasts show more snow and cold into next week. Akron Beacon Journal

- ➤ Former Akron Zips offensive lineman Travis Switzer — now the Ravens run game coordinator — emerged as the favored candidate for the Browns offensive coordinator role, according to a source.
