- ➤ Retailer Francesca's filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 6 and started going-out-of-business sales nationwide. The chain plans to close its 15 Ohio stores (including two near Akron) as it blamed a data breach and tech issues for its struggles. Akron Beacon Journal

- ➤ Akron Public Schools Superintendent Mary B. Outley will host a three-month listening tour to meet families at six district sites (including Ellet and North High) from Feb. 19 through April 21. - ➤ Akron school board approved an updated four-year financial forecast on Feb. 9 that delays the shortfall from 2028 to 2029. HEALTH NEWS
