  • Akron Public Schools proposes shifting about 50 rising sixth graders each year from an overcrowded Jennings CLC to Innes CLC by moving Leggett CLC into the Garfield Cluster. A public meeting is held today at 6 p.m. at Innes CLC & families can share input.  Signal Akron

  • On Feb. 10, a bright fireball meteor with blue and green flames lit Ohio’s night sky; viewers from Columbus to Cincinnati reported a visible tail (and a loud boom) captured in social media videos.  Akron Beacon Journal

  • Cleveland Clinic Akron General resumed normal visitation hours yesterday after a 12-inch water main break on Saturday morning caused appointment cancellations + care disruptions at its downtown campus.   • On Feb. 11, local doctors protected a new mother's heart with specialized treatment during her chemotherapy after she delivered her baby (the procedure aimed to prevent heart damage and support ongoing care).  Cleveland 19 News
