- ➤ A Northfield grandmother won a $250,000 jackpot on a scratch-off ticket after an unexpected detour at Sagamore Quik Check — she had forgotten the ticket in her car's glove compartment for three days — and after taxes she will receive $183,125 as she plans to spoil her grandchildren. - ➤ At Akron Children's Hospital and Cleveland Clinic, doctors use AI to draft appointment notes and reduce after-hours charting today; the tool frees up more face-time with patients while doctors review results for accuracy (often called pajama time). WKYC
- ➤ The University of Akron’s BETA Lab received a $200K American Heart Association award to develop heart valve implants using shape memory polymers — a less invasive alternative to metal valves.
