- ➤ Registration is open for Akron Zoo day camps for kids + families and teens, with full day camps for ages 6 to 12, half day camps for teens 13 to 16, and family camp for children 3 and older. - ➤ Akron Public Schools can avoid laying off 18 teachers next school year while cutting $11 million from the operating budget. - ➤ The Old Farmer's Almanac released its Last Frost Date Map, which shows that Akron is expected to finish frost on April 30 while parts of Southwest Ohio see an earlier end.
