ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Tuesday morning, thousands in Akron reported a large boom and fireball caught on camera, and officials are investigating the incident (more details are expected soon).  Cleveland 19 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Akron Public Schools and the Greater Akron Chamber have formed a partnership to connect Garfield CLC students with local businesses for interactive learning in culinary arts, advanced manufacturing, construction technology and patient care. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A loud boom rattled windows across Medina County yesterday as the National Weather Service said a sonic boom from a meteor entering the atmosphere may have caused the noise (no injuries were reported).  Akron Beacon Journal

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Akron voters nominated 85 restaurants for a burger tournament, yet only in-Akron spots count after more than half were submitted from nearby suburbs (entries extra-local). The tournament began Tuesday and will have results posted next Tuesday (Mar. 22).  Akron Beacon Journal
