- ➤ Norton Raceway Park (formerly Barberton Speedway) closed permanently as its new owner, Keith Luck, will use the 27-acre property to expand his neighboring Mulch Makers of Ohio. An online auction for the raceway’s equipment is scheduled from March 27 to April 2. Akron Beacon Journal

- ➤ Akron Public Schools will open two new buildings in Kenmore in August 2028, where Pfeiffer Elementary and Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts will replace the old high school.
