- ➤ Akron Urban League president John Williams released the second part of a series on Black–Jewish relations that examines how past economic and social tensions continue to impact local life. - ➤ A family on East Lods Street said dangerous trees are a growing safety concern after a storm dropped branches that caused a brief power outage. Cascade Village management and City Hall will check the property and decide if the trees along the power lines should be trimmed later this week. Cleveland 19 News
- ➤ Staci and Kevin Howley launched the Be Cheechy Foundation in honor of their son George to spread kindness through 2,400 acts so far. Their first fundraiser took place on March 21 at House Three Thirty in Akron, and the nonprofit aims to expand its movement nationwide. Akron Beacon Journal

- ➤ City officials unveiled a master plan for transforming the Innerbelt with new sidewalks, bike lanes, and affordable housing projects, and set aside $500,000 for initial work this year.
