- ➤ Akron Public Schools staff and parents oppose proposed cuts that would eliminate at least 17 positions (paraprofessionals, deans, and learning resource center technicians) and delayed a board vote amid plans to cut over $11M from the $386M operating budget due to funding shortfalls. - ➤ ODOT announced the I-77 southbound ramp to Ghent Road in Bath Township will close starting March 30 through mid-May for a widening project — drivers must follow a detour via I-77 southbound to State Route 18 and I-77 northbound.
