- ➤ A 22-year-old Akron man wanted for a 2024 shooting at a Waffle House on Arlington Road was arrested Monday in Clendenin, West Virginia by a U.S. Marshals task force — authorities seized two firearms, 52 grams of fentanyl and nearly $10,000 during the arrest. Akron Beacon Journal
- ➤ A second suspect pleaded guilty Monday to the December 12th, 2022 murder of 19-year-old Zion Neal at the Akron skate park on Derby Downs Drive—Julian Fort is set to be sentenced on March 27th while another suspect had earlier pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and obstructing justice. - ➤ The Regional Emergency Dispatch Center issued a statewide missing adult alert for 58-year-old Vicki Linn Bell, who went missing Friday outside a Red Roof Inn in North Canton after refusing help from law enforcement—authorities say Bell, who has a mental illness, may carry a knife and could become violent.
