- ➤ On April 26, Disco Inferno will perform at the WITAN Boogie Down Akron Fundraiser at Guy’s Party Center—500 E. - ➤ On March 16 at 9:30 a.m. a man stole four rolls of lottery tickets valued over $1,500 when he entered Damak Mini Mart at 212 E. Tallmage Avenue — he then fled on foot and Akron Police are asking residents to share any details to help identify him. Cleveland 19 News

- ➤ Ohio Gov Mike DeWine signed Senate Bill 1 on Friday, a law that ends DEI programs and the right to strike at state colleges and universities. - ➤ New research shows that many eligible voters in our state and across the country do not have easy access to documents that prove their citizenship, even though noncitizen voting is extremely rare. - ➤ A local reader urged lawmakers to keep federal funds for the Akron-Summit County Public Library system—warning that cuts would hurt free internet, tutoring, and other services that help children, adults, and low-income citizens.
