  • The Akron Zoo is offering free admission for guests wearing blue on (Wear Blue Day) tomorrow to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect. The event, presented by Summit County Children Services, runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 505 Euclid Ave.  Cleveland.com

  • Streetsboro Mayor Glenn Broska said a culvert collapse has closed Seasons Road between Ferguson and Ravenna roads, and repairs are expected to take 60 to 90 days while local drivers follow detours.  Akron Beacon Journal

  • Stricklands, a family-run ice cream stand in Akron, celebrates 90 years of serving small-batch custard. It operates at its original Triplett Blvd location and five other Northeast Ohio sites + one in Costa Mesa using 1930s machines to churn four rotating daily flavors.  Cleveland.com

  • Akron native Charnise Lewis now offers $10 mat Pilates classes at 2056 Romig Road on most Saturday mornings with free sessions at House Three Thirty, aiming to serve a diverse community and expand her Jewell Method Pilates series.  Signal Akron
  • More than three million bottles of eight types of eye drops have been recalled (Class II) due to non-sterile concerns raised by K.C. Pharmaceuticals on April 6.   • Buckets unveiled the Akron Hammer smashburger at House Three Thirty (532 W. Market St), featuring bacon, cheddar and American cheeses, barbecue sauce and crispy onions.
