- ➤ Akron will host a full lineup of summer concerts, festivals and activities at the reimagined Lock 3 venue downtown, which now includes a three-sided performance pavilion and 550 reserved seats. - ➤ Akron Police reported that on April 26 at 5:02 p.m. a 1-year-old girl suffered second and third-degree burns when her babysitter, 52-year-old Kimberly Richmond, failed to get her medical care—leading to a warrant for her arrest on two counts of child endangerment. Cleveland 19 News
- ➤ U.S. marshals arrested Darrell D. Moore, 35, of Akron on charges of aggravated robbery after he robbed the PNC Bank (676 E. Wilbeth Road) on April 21 and stole $8,000 with a partner who threatened a teller as police continue to look for the second suspect. Cleveland.com

- ➤ Akron Public Schools superintendent Dr. Michael Robinson resigned after a three-hour Executive Session, and Board President Carla Jackson confirmed his letter was received.
