- ➤ Sagamore Hills Police responded to a shooting call at the 500 block of Carlin Drive (5:30 p.m.) and found a 31-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds who was transported to Akron City Hospital and later died as investigators worked on the case. News 5 Cleveland

- ➤ Akron History Center in downtown Akron now features three floors with 62 exhibits and over 100 artifacts that trace the city’s history from its founding in 1825 to the rubber boom—highlights include Alcoholics Anonymous founder Dr. Bob Smith’s office door and a Devo suit.
