- ➤ Over 54,000 FirstEnergy customers lost power after overnight storms passed through Akron early Saturday. Nearly 36,000 outages were reported in Summit County with over 14,600 homes affected in Akron, and the National Weather Service forecasted breezy conditions with a slight chance of more storms later on Saturday.
