- ➤ Akron police reported that a 29-year-old Lyft driver was shot in the leg by a bullet fragment after dropping off a passenger in the 800 block of Bisson Avenue at 11:36 p.m. on May 19 — investigators recovered multiple rifle rounds at the scene. WKYC
- ➤ Akron Police investigated a woman shot near her home on Beechwood Avenue early Sunday—she was treated for multiple gunshot wounds in stable condition at a local hospital and no arrests have been made. iHeartMedia
- ➤ A Summit County Grand Jury indicted Justice Oney, 24, on charges of murder, felonious assault and abduction for fatally shooting Nathan Flight, 25, at a Barberton intersection on April 14 around 1:30 a.m.—Flight was trying to help Oney’s wife reach a domestic violence shelter when officers arrived.
