Brian Swansiger, a 28-year-old Springfield Township firefighter, has been indicted in Portage County on charges including rape, sexual battery, gross sexual imposition and kidnapping — he allegedly raped and restrained a 25-year-old woman around January 1 — and he faces similar date rape charges in Mahoning County with a pretrial set for August 5.
