Debbie Miller, an Akron resident, finished her mission to pick up one million pieces of trash after starting in February 2023 when her dog was injured by broken glass.

She collected 1,426 pieces of broken glass (along with needles, nails, bolts, screws, a dozen knives and even a gun) and was praised by Mayor Shammas Malik.
