- ➤ Ar'mon Covington, 26, lost his life when he intervened at a BP gas station on Grant Street on July 5 to stop a man from harassing women — the suspect shot him multiple times before fleeing southbound, and police asked for help in identifying the shooter. News 5 Cleveland

- ➤ Ohio House lawmakers will meet on July 21 to consider overriding three property-tax vetoes by Gov. DeWine that removed changes from the state budget.
