- ➤ Ken Ganley Automotive Group acquired all six Sarchione dealerships, including the used luxury car gallery in Jackson Township — the deal closed on July 3. - ➤ A Summit County grand jury indicted 21-year-old Akron man Antoine Pixley for fatally stabbing his 22-year-old roommate, injuring his 44-year-old stepfather, and assaulting his mother at a home on Bee Bee Circle around 1 a.m. on June 7—Pixley pleaded not guilty and is held on a $1 million bond. - ➤ After a July 7 Mason CLC incident where five people were shot and nine injured, Akron officials say kids under 18 must not be on the streets between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless they are with a parent or guardian+curfew violations bring fines and repeat cases may lead to jail time. - ➤ The FDA recalled food from Sheehan Brothers Vending because an undeclared sesame allergen was found; items include cheeseburgers, spicy chicken sandwiches, Italian mini subs, pepperoni pizza subs, chili cheese coneys, and BBQ riblets. The products were sold from July 2 to 8 through vending machines and micro markets in Ohio, northern Kentucky, and eastern Indiana (people with a sesame allergy should dispose of the items and contact Sheehan Brothers Vending for a replacement).
