- ➤ A 24-year-old Akron woman rushed home after spotting two armed men on her Ring doorbell just past 3 a.m. Sunday on Stadelman Avenue near West Exchange Street, and a shootout ensued when one suspect fired shots—police are now searching for the intruders after finding over 15 bullet casings in her driveway. - ➤ Kent State University's Porthouse Theatre began in 1969 on the Blossom Music Center grounds when a group of strolling players performed during a Cleveland Orchestra concert and soon became a training ground for student and professional theater artists.
