- ➤ Bounce Innovation Hub has launched Synthe6, a 12-month accelerator for polymer and materials science startups that will offer commercialization training, non-dilutive funding, and professional service support—startups must submit applications by July 31. The program, backed by the Polymer Industry Cluster and the state’s Innovation Hubs funding, will support up to eight companies and announce admissions in August. Akron Beacon Journal

- ➤ Police are investigating a weekend incident in Highland Square when a woman using her Ring app saw two suspects trying to break into her Stadelman Avenue home early Sunday morning—she left after one suspect fired at her, returned to exchange shots, and later her house was hit by gunfire. iHeartMedia
- ➤ A 28-year-old woman was shot in a drive-by incident on Wall Street in North Hill on Monday and remains hospitalized today with non-life-threatening injuries—police have not released details about any suspect. iHeartMedia
