- ➤ Gum-Dip Theatre’s original outdoor play 'Blimpulse' will premiere on July 31 at Waters Park in North Hill and will bring 200 years of Akron history to life—mixing sketch, comedy, poetry and narrative in a free performance. - ➤ Akron firefighters responded to a house fire in the 400 block of Grace Avenue in West Akron at 5:20 p.m. Thursday—bystanders reported a person in the basement where firefighters later found 59-year-old Lisa Geter unresponsive, and two other residents were displaced while officials continue investigating the cause.
