- ➤ Two men convicted for a 2023 shooting at an Akron apartment complex on Pine Knolls Drive were sentenced last week by a Summit County judge, with Quynshod Taylor receiving 18 to 22 years in prison and Jay'Viare Harden receiving 7 to 9 years — co-defendants Martaze Portis and Solomon Varner had been sentenced earlier to 10 to 11 years. - ➤ Summer concerts and cultural events are set across Northeast Ohio from August 3 through late September, with bluegrass jamming at Canal Fulton Library and rock shows in Akron, Cleveland and Medina.
