  • Netflix’s documentary 'Devo' will debut Tuesday and looks at the Akron band known for its quirky style and misunderstood message—using interviews and archival footage to trace their rise and political ideas.   • Akron natives Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney of The Black Keys returned for a concert at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls on August 22, where they played favorites from their album No Rain, No Flowers. FINANCE NEWS

  • No jackpot was won in the Aug. 22 Mega Millions drawing as the winning numbers were 18, 30, 44, 48, 50 with Mega Ball 12 while thousands of smaller prizes were claimed across the state. The jackpot climbs to $253 million—with a cash option worth $113.8 million—for the next drawing set for Tuesday at 11 p.m.  WKYC

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Browns gave fans a close look at their key players when several starters played 20 to 25 plays—including Joe Flacco and rookie quarterbacks Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders—in their preseason finale against the Rams last Saturday as many players were shown who will not make the final roster.  Akron Beacon Journal

  • On Friday night, Akron North broke a 19-game losing streak with a 23–6 win over St. Thomas Aquinas at Sirpilla Stadium—junior Jair Bell threw a key 46-yard touchdown that shifted the game momentum.
