- ➤ In Northeast Ohio, the Old Farmer’s Almanac predicts a milder winter—with above normal temperatures and near to below-average snowfall—from Dec. 21 to March 20, while the National Weather Service expects above-normal precipitation in Summit County. The Almanac uses solar science, climatology, and meteorology to forecast conditions but the forecasts differ between the two sources. Akron Beacon Journal
