Today and tomorrow, Akron Pizza Fest returns to Lock 3 Park with six pizza vendors competing for best slice, including past winner Upper Crust Pizza.

Officials reported that dredging to remove toxic sediment behind the Gorge Dam will begin in two weeks as part of a $130M project funded with federal and state money—removal of the dam will follow and enable the river to flow freely for the first time in 100 years.
