- ➤ A Lake High School senior, Justin Landes, suffered a serious kidney laceration during a Friday football game against Hoover when he was injured in the third quarter—he was evaluated by medical staff and transported by EMS to Akron Children’s Hospital where he underwent surgery, and he remains hospitalized in stable condition as doctors plan his next steps.
