- ➤ At Middlebury Academy on November 19th, a glow-in-the-dark literacy night gave students a chance to join scavenger hunts, read books, run relay races and play academic games with help from teachers and family. - ➤ The Mega Millions drawing on Nov 25 did not produce a jackpot winner and many Ohio players received smaller prizes—now the jackpot climbs to $80 million with a cash option of $36.9 million for the drawing at 11 p.m. today. WKYC
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Ohio House passed the Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act that lets public school teachers include lessons on religion’s positive role in American history—approved by a 62–27 vote. The bill now heads to the Senate—while opponents like the ACLU argue the change is unneeded. Cleveland 19 News
- ➤ Pamela Hickson-Stevenson, who has led the Akron-Summit County Public Library since 2018—after starting her public library career in 2006—will retire at the end of this year.
