Celebration of Lights 2026

About this event

The holiday season is a time to reflect and express gratitude for friends and loved ones. The Celebration of Lights provides a heartfelt way to honor those who have passed and those who continue to enrich our lives.

The Auxiliary of UH Portage Medical Center invites you to celebrate and remember others this holiday season by supporting its annual community tradition.

Celebration Event:

• Wednesday, December 2, 2026

• UH Portage Medical Arts Building – Rm 150

• 6847 N. Chestnut St, Ravenna, OH

• 6:30pm: Music of the season

• 7:00pm: Reflection Program (approx. 20 minutes)

• Followed by an outdoor candle processional walk to a reception with refreshments in hospital main lobby

Walk of Trees: The gold and silver tree decorations are displayed in front of the hospital entrance from December 2 – January 2, 2027.

Keepsake Star Ornament : . Star ornament keepsakes are distributed at Celebration of Lights. Military designation option available. Ornaments not picked up are mailed after December 11.

Light A Light : All light recognitions names are displayed in the hospital's outer lobby of the hospital and in the Remembrance Booklet, representing the holiday lights decorating the outside of the hospital.

Remembrance Booklet: Remembrance Booklets are distributed at Celebration of Lights or can be picked up at the hospital main lobby desk during the month of December while supplies last.

Celebration of Lights is the Auxiliary’s largest fundraising event, directly supporting its efforts to improve patient care and services at UH Portage Medical Center.
