About this event

Empowerment Panel | Plan. Prepare. Protect | 5:00 – 6:00 pm

Mingle | 6:00 – 7:30 pm

Are you prepared for the unexpected?

Emergencies rarely come with a warning. Whether it’s severe weather, a power outage, a workplace emergency, a fire, or another unexpected situation, knowing what to do before a crisis happens can make all the difference.

Join us for an Empowerment Panel focused on Safety & Disaster Preparedness for Home and Work . Our panelists will share practical information and strategies to help you think ahead, create a plan, and feel more confident responding when the unexpected happens.

Panelists:

Rev. Katie Howe, Minister for Disaster Response and Recovery for the United Church of Christ

Amanda Archer, MPH, Canton City Health Commissioner

Jen Walencik, Creative Director, Why? Creative Marketing

Rev. Anissa Glaser Bacon, Moderator

We’ll explore topics related to personal and workplace safety, emergency planning, communication, essential supplies, and the simple steps you can take now to be better prepared later.

You don’t need to live in fear of what might happen. You just need a plan.

Come ready to learn, ask questions, and leave with practical ideas you can put into action at home and at work.

Then stay for the Mingle! After the panel, keep the conversation going while connecting with other Women’s Impact members and guests. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, meet someone new, and enjoy the kind of connection that makes our Mid-Month Mingles so special.
