- ➤ Aldi is offering limited-time Aldi Finds deals that began April 23 and include Cinco de Mayo chocolate truffles for $3.29, Maine lobster tails for $12.99, and mini empanadas for $4.99. - ➤ Akron Mayor Shammas Malik released the list of roadways to be resurfaced in 2025 — the plan covers 34 new miles and 14 miles of carryover roads. He added that a concrete pavement rehab program will focus on Ward 6 to improve road conditions. iHeartMedia
- ➤ Lyft driver Eric Makowski said Akron's pothole-filled Sherman Street is costing him flat tires that take him out of work. City officials said they are patching the road (with lead line work and full resurfacing planned for next year) and pothole repairs are usually completed within 3-4 days. News 5 Cleveland
- ➤ Yesterday, the Ohio Department of Transportation promoted safe driving in work zones with its annual 'Go Orange for Safety' campaign to remind drivers to slow down near construction sites. The agency reported nearly 4,000 work zone crashes last year — 22 fatal and 123 seriously injured — and said its crews have already been hit 59 times this year compared to 84 last year.
