- ➤ Akron Police said they are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Saturday night near Sand Run Metro Park when officers responded at 8 p.m. on the 1600 block of Cromwell Drive and found a 52-year-old man with critical injuries who died at a hospital—police said a suspect known to the victim fled the scene and the investigation is in its early stages.
