- ➤ A 52-year-old Akron man, Narlon Portis, died from a stab wound to his torso on May 10 after being attacked on Cromwell Drive near Sand Run Metro Park around 8 p.m.—he was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General and pronounced dead at 9:13 p.m., and the suspect, reportedly known to him, fled the scene as police continue to investigate. - ➤ Summit County prosecutors said Monday that Jeffery Peasley—convicted for fatally shooting Robert Zornes, Jr. and stealing his motorcycle during a 2021 argument in Coventry Township—will spend his life in prison. Cleveland 19 News
