- ➤ On Thursday evening, Kofi Boakye’s Beyond The Keys youth program shared his inspiring journey of overcoming hardship—and he awarded the inaugural Elevating Possibility Scholarship to several high school seniors at Buchtel Community Learning Center during the 13th Annual Harvest Festival. - ➤ At the November 17 meeting, Akron City Council approved a conditional-use permit for a new two-story school building on the former Kenmore High School site that will combine Pfeiffer and Miller South schools—construction is set to begin next spring with a groundbreaking planned in mid-March and an opening scheduled for August.
