Respite Weekends

About this event

Respite Weekends offer camp-outs for children with disabilities. They run on three weekends this season: Nov. 6–8, Nov. 20–22 and Dec. 11–13. Campers ages 6–17 join traditional and seasonal camp activities at Akron Area YMCA Rotary Camp. It’s a good way for campers to see old friends, make new ones and try a short overnight stay.

Check-in is Friday from 6–7 p.m. at the Rennick and Dee Andreoli Recreation and Resource Center. Check-in is not accepted before 6 p.m., and camp activities begin at 7 p.m. Pick-up is Sunday between 10 and 11 a.m. Cost is $470 per weekend, and campers may register for only one weekend per month. Visit gotcamp.org for details.
